My first time in The Hamptons was AMAZING!!! I had so much fun! We stayed in this big beautiful house right next to Donna Karen's and a couple blocks away from P Diddy's place! On the way there it was a lil' scary since we kept getting lost and it was soooooo dark! All we saw were deer all around us and sign posts that did not make sense, but luckily we eventually found our way there! As soon as we got there we jumped right into the pool and hot tub...the pool was even impressive with a padded interior! So cool! We were up all night since we didn't get there til past midnight...we just drank and swam in the pool and relaxed in the hot tub and then made a spontaneous trip through the woods to watch the sunrise! It was beautiful! We went to the cliff and then climbed down this steep incline into the ocean....honestly sometimes the best experiences are the spontaneous ones. It's been awhile since I stayed up late to go watch a sunrise at the beach...I'm so glad I did it even though I was eaten alive by mosquitos but it was all worth it!!!
When we got home, we just slept for a few hours and got back up to go swimming again! It was funny cuz Tristan ended up staying up all night and even ended up doing laundry and washed my towel! haha I was so shocked cuz it's rare to have a guy do laundry for me! It was so nice to wake up to a nice clean towel to use for when I got out of the pool so thanks Tristan!!!! :) I woke up and made myself a hearty breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast with OJ and sat by the pool. This may seem so ordinary, but sometimes the little things in life make me the happiest!!! Just to sit down and soak in life and really enjoy the moment is what I think life is all about!
We went to the beach afterwards and soaked in some sun and played in the water and came back home again to swim in the pool and hot tub. Tristan made us this huge dinner and then afterwards we played some card games and went to bed. There was a lil' craziness going on..I felt like it was the Real World/Road Rules kind of thing. Some hooking up from people in the house and some scandalous activity of course..but I guess that's to be expected! And of course some drama with the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night! Oh and apparently we had visitors from a raccoon that took food off our grill..haha was eating corn peeling off the husks and nibbling on the corn!
The last day there was pretty much the same thing...just pool and beach and then we had a great last meal at this Clam Bar where I of course got my fave..STEAMERS!!!
We didn't get home to NYC til really late..I wish we could have stayed there forever! I hope I make it back there again one day! It was sooo much fun!
Today, I woke up after sleeping in and then went to Central Park to the Great Lawn and just laid out relaxing and catching some more rays and catching up on some reading. I felt soooo happy just to lay there under an open beautiful sunny sky...I am so thankful and lucky to have these experiences and really enjoy every day like today. I wish life could always be so simple and enjoyable like this...I know it's not going to last forever, so I am DEFINITELY going to enjoy every minute of it while it lasts!!!
