YEAH!!!!!! Finally met Diane von Furstenberg and Nathan Jenden! I was so excited when we found out that we were able to go to the show! All of us rushed out into cabs and headed downtown to the offices there...went thru the backdoor and up those infamous stairs you see on MTV in The City! It was such a surreal moment for me to see all those fashion people and have Diane walk near me! Crazy!!!! All the models were being prepped upstairs for the show that was supposed to start around noon downstairs. There was food and drinks everywhere and press snapping photos! The girls and I went up to Diane to introduce ourselves and she was the sweetest lady ever! Shook my hand and had this huge warm smile on her face! She was so happy to take pictures with us too! Then she went over and took pictures of her models with her camera! When the show was about to start we all gathered around the screen to watch...it was amazing!
It's so funny, after the show..it was a free for all for the free pizza and salad too! Living in the city is pretty expensive so when there's free food you DEFINITELY go for it!!!
Today I got my first real design project from one of the designers..it was exciting but sooooo intimidating! I was so scared to screw up on a DVF garment! I had to change the trim on one of the tops, but luckily I was able to do it and when I was done it was sent downtown. :) It's exciting cuz a lot of the stuff we work on is for photoshoots and fashion shows!
Oh and then I got to go to the sample sale! I felt like I was on the Confessions of a Shop-a-holic! I probably shouldn't have spent the money, but I wanted a memento! hehe Got a bunch of stuff and tried them on in the fitting rooms which was like a zoo! Got a few cute things and can't wait to wear them!
I'm so glad I took on this experience...it's hard, but well worth it so far! :)
